Sr Maintenance Mechanic – Food Manufacturing

Well-established food manufacturing company in the Vernon, CA area is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to support a fast-paced 24/7 production operation. Meat industry experience is preferred; however, candidates with strong food manufacturing maintenance backgrounds and well-rounded mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on production and packaging equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Diagnose and repair conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, valves, and related equipment
• Support production uptime in a high-volume manufacturing environment
• Maintain safe and sanitary work practices in compliance with food industry standards
• Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and continuous improvement projects

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance mechanic experience in food manufacturing or meat processing environments preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills across multiple maintenance disciplines
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented production environment
• Flexible to work varying shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and industrial safety practices

Compensation & Benefits

• Up to $45.00 to 50.00/hour depending on experience.

Operations run 24/7, and shift flexibility is required. Typical shift start time is around 6:00 AM.
