Maintenance Technician - Industrial Equipment - Direct Hire

Location: Adams, Massachusetts

Job Type: Full-Time (Direct Hire)

Schedule: Train on 1st Shift, then transition to Off Shift as assigned

PAY RANGE

$34-$40 per hour depending on experience and qualifications

JOB SUMMARY

An established industrial manufacturing operation is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support plant equipment reliability and production uptime. This role performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems within a production environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Perform preventive maintenance on plant equipment and systems

- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues

- Repair conveyors, pumps, compressors, drives, gear reducers, valves, and rotating equipment

- Interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and electrical schematics

- Support emergency repairs to minimize production downtime

- Lead or assist with major repair projects

- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and work orders

- Identify root causes of equipment failures and recommend corrective actions

- Support spare parts planning and inventory recommendations

- Assist with equipment installation, calibration, and setup

- Promote safe work practices and positive team collaboration

REQUIREMENTS

- High school diploma or equivalent required

- Formal technical or trade training preferred

- Experience performing industrial maintenance in a manufacturing environment

- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills

- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics

- Welding, rigging, hydraulics, pneumatics, and millwright experience preferred

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in industrial conditions

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

- Conveyor systems

- Gear reducers and power transmission equipment

- Pumps, valves, and compressors

- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems

- Mobile equipment such as forklifts or loaders

- Preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Industrial manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, dust, elevated work areas, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions as required. Position may include overtime, weekends, and holiday coverage based on operational needs.
