Travel Physical Therapist

Performance Objectives
- Evaluate and treat 8–12 patients daily across hospital, outpatient, and satellite sites, achieving measurable functional gains in mobility, strength, and pain reduction within 4–6 weeks.
- Design and execute individualized plans that meet or exceed CMS quality benchmarks, contributing to our five-star overall hospital rating.
- Coordinate seamlessly with physicians, nurses, and case managers to ensure 95%+ of patients transition safely home or to next-level care without readmission.
- Document all encounters in our EMR within 24 hours, maintaining 100% compliance for billing, continuity, and regulatory standards.
- Mentor new graduates and support staff during high-volume periods, elevating team productivity by 15% while preserving one-patient-at-a-time excellence.
- Travel efficiently between Glenwood Springs and regional clinics, completing assignments on schedule with zero missed visits due to logistics.
Environment & Resources
You report to the Director of Rehabilitation and join a collaborative team of PTs, OT, and speech therapists in a 501–1000 employee nonprofit system. You have access to modern gyms, aquatic therapy, EMR, and a travel stipend plus housing support. Budget and scheduling flexibility exist to match patient demand across our integrated network.
Essential Qualifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (or equivalent) and current Colorado PT license (or eligibility within 30 days).
- 2+ years of acute, outpatient, or travel PT experience with documented outcomes in orthopedic, neuro, or post-surgical caseloads.
- Proven ability to manage a mixed caseload independently while traveling between sites.
- Strong EMR proficiency and commitment to timely, accurate documentation.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regionally in all seasons.
