Senior DevOps Engineer

Location: Richardson, TX (Hybrid – 2 days onsite weekly)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to help design, scale, and optimize a modern cloud infrastructure platform supporting high-availability enterprise applications used globally.

This role sits at the intersection of infrastructure engineering, CI/CD architecture, automation, and cloud reliability. You’ll partner closely with software engineering and platform teams to improve deployment velocity, resilience, observability, and security across a large distributed environment.

You’ll also contribute to a follow-the-sun escalation model supporting production infrastructure at scale.

What You’ll Do

Cloud Infrastructure Engineering

• Design and operate scalable AWS infrastructure supporting global enterprise applications
• Improve availability, resiliency, and cost efficiency across cloud environments
• Lead infrastructure modernization initiatives

Infrastructure as Code

• Build and maintain automated infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, and AWS CDK
• Standardize reusable infrastructure modules
• Improve provisioning consistency and deployment reliability

CI/CD Platform Ownership

• Design and optimize pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions
• Automate build, test, deployment, and rollback workflows
• Improve release velocity and reliability across engineering teams

Containerization & Orchestration

• Manage containerized workloads using Docker and EKS/ECS
• Improve deployment performance and fault tolerance
• Support scalable microservices environments

Monitoring & Observability

• Implement monitoring and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK
• Drive proactive detection and remediation strategies
• Improve system visibility across environments

Automation & Platform Engineering

• Develop automation tooling using Python, Shell, Groovy, or JavaScript
• Reduce manual intervention across infrastructure lifecycle operations
• Support self-service infrastructure enablement

Security & Reliability

• Implement infrastructure security best practices
• Support compliance and governance initiatives
• Partner with security teams on platform hardening

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure experience
• Strong AWS platform expertise
• Deep experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation
• Hands-on CI/CD pipeline ownership (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
• Experience supporting containerized environments (Docker, EKS, ECS)
• Strong scripting experience (Python, Shell, Groovy, or JavaScript)
• Experience implementing monitoring and logging platforms
• Ability to support distributed engineering environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting global production infrastructure
• Experience building developer platform tooling
• Experience improving deployment automation maturity
• Exposure to security automation or compliance frameworks
• Experience working in hybrid enterprise cloud environments
