What You'll Do

As a Registered Dietitian, you'll play an essential role in identifying nutritional needs, developing individualized nutrition interventions, and helping patients achieve better clinical outcomes.


Direct Patient Care

  • Provide comprehensive Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) to patients with a variety of nutritional and medical needs.
  • Monitor patients' tolerance and response to therapeutic diets.
  • Develop individualized nutrition interventions based on patient needs, medical conditions, and treatment goals.
  • Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers.
  • Incorporate current evidence-based research and best practices into clinical care.
  • Work with patients to develop practical and sustainable nutrition strategies.


Clinical Nutrition & Care Planning

  • Perform and document comprehensive nutrition assessments.
  • Monitor relevant patient data and nutritional status.
  • Recommend, prescribe, or modify therapeutic diets and nutritional interventions as appropriate.
  • Write or approve orders for therapeutic nutrition, dietary supplements, and nutritional products within scope and facility policy.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing, pharmacy, social work, and other members of the healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
  • Complete clinical documentation, reports, and required records accurately and on time.


Patient Safety & Quality

Patient safety is at the heart of everything we do.

You'll:

  • Follow infection prevention and patient safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.
  • Protect patient confidentiality and privacy in accordance with HIPAA.
  • Follow organizational, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of nutrition care resources, menus, supplements, and enteral nutrition products.

What We're Looking For

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field
  • Degree must be from an accredited college or university approved by ACEND or the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND)
  • Master's Degree in Dietetics required for graduates after January 2024, as applicable


Licensure & Certification

  • Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or registry eligible
  • Current Dietitian license in the state of practice
  • Current BLS Certification


Experience

New graduates are welcome to apply!

  • Previous Registered Dietitian experience is preferred but not required
  • At least 1 year of RD experience preferred
