Step Down RN

At Medefis we connect exceptional clinicians with high-acuity hospital partners so patients receive seamless care between ICU and med-surg. In Cleveland you will stabilize complex cardiac, respiratory, and post-surgical patients, prevent readmissions, and set the standard for step-down excellence that hospitals trust us to deliver.

  • Within 90 days independently manage a 4–5 patient assignment, achieving 95%+ on-time vital-sign, medication, and documentation compliance.
  • Reduce unplanned transfers back to ICU by 20% through early recognition of decompensation and rapid RRT activation.
  • Lead daily interdisciplinary huddles that cut average length of stay by 0.5 days while maintaining patient-satisfaction scores above 4.7/5.
  • Precept two new or traveling RNs per quarter so they reach full productivity in under 4 weeks.
  • Complete 100% of required telemetry, ventilator, and vasoactive-drip competencies and serve as unit super-user for the EHR.
  • Contribute to one unit-based quality project (falls, CLABSI, or pain) that produces a measurable 10% improvement within six months.
