May 24, 2026 – August 22, 2026

  • Day Shift (7:00 AM – 6:30 PM)
  • 40 hours per week
  • Four 10-hour shifts
  • No floating required

Schedule & Call Requirements

  • Four 10-hour day shifts each week
  • Weekend coverage as needed
  • One summer holiday and one winter holiday required
  • On-call participation required
  • Minimum of 7 call shifts
  • Maximum of 10 call shifts during the assignment
  • No floating


What You'll Do

As a Cardiovascular Cath Lab Technologist, you'll assist physicians during complex diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures while maintaining the highest standards of patient care, safety, and procedural excellence.


Clinical Responsibilities

  • Prepare procedure rooms, sterile fields, and specialized cardiovascular equipment.
  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures.
  • Support temporary and permanent pacemaker implantation procedures.
  • Operate and monitor advanced hemodynamic monitoring systems.
  • Assist with vascular access, sheath removal, radial band application, and hemostasis.
  • Monitor patient status throughout procedures and recognize cardiac rhythm changes.
  • Obtain, calculate, and interpret hemodynamic measurements, cardiac output, and oximetry data.
  • Operate power injectors and cardiovascular imaging equipment.
  • Manage digital imaging and Cardiovascular Information Systems (CVIS).
  • Assist with patient positioning and procedural preparation.


Advanced Cardiac Procedures

Experience with the following is highly valued:

  • Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)
  • Cardiac Catheterization
  • Peripheral Vascular Procedures
  • Permanent Pacemaker Placement
  • ImpellaĀ® Mechanical Circulatory Support
  • Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)


Quality & Safety

  • Maintain sterile technique throughout procedures.
  • Follow radiation safety and infection prevention protocols.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and quality assurance checks.
  • Maintain adequate procedural inventory and supply readiness.
  • Participate in the department's on-call rotation.


What We're Looking For

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience required
  • Strong experience assisting with invasive cardiac procedures
  • Experience using:
  • ImpellaĀ®
  • Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
  • Permanent pacemaker placement experience preferred


Preferred Experience

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

  • Mac-Lab
  • EPIC Electronic Medical Record
  • Advanced hemodynamic monitoring
  • Cardiovascular Information Systems (CVIS)


Education

  • Graduate of an accredited:
  • Cardiovascular Technology Program
  • Radiologic Technology Program
  • Applied Science Program
  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare-related field preferred


Required Certifications

  • Current BLS (AHA)
  • Radiologic Technologist certification
  • ARRT preferred
  • State Radiologic License (where applicable)


Preferred Certifications

  • RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
  • ACLS (or ability to obtain within three months if required by the facility)
